OPINION 2012 Presidential election

Okay, I've about had it.   It appears that most supporters believe their candidate is perfect and  refuse to admit otherwise.  Well  folks, I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news.  I think all of the candidates, including the incumbant have serious flaws.  As example

Obama is seriously too liberal and is breaking our bank.,
Romney is only slightly less liberal.    Santorum cannot attract the independent voters needed to win,  Gingrich is mean spirited and a little too progressive for me.,   Ron Paul?   I've yet to hear anyone intelligently explain why he should be elected.  they yell  "  constitution"   but  I wonder how many have actually read the entire thing?

So you're wondering what my point is.  Well  the point is.      none of these candidates are perfect so I would advise you to vote your conscience, understanding the consequences of your action.  Me?  I can tell you I will  NOT vote for Obama!

REMEMBER JAN 3 2007 !!!!!

I usually don't  dive into Party politics as I'm an independent.  However, I've noticed a lot of misinformation coming from various folks from the Democrat party and I want to lay some facts on  you.  Instead of blaming EVERYTHING on Bush! Bush! Bush! How about we remember that
on January 3rd, 2007, the day the Democrats took over the Senate and the Congress: The DOW Jones closed at 12,621.77 The GDP for the previous quarter was 3.5% The Unemployment rate was 4.6% George Bush's Economic policies SET A RECORD of 52 ...STRAIGHT MONTHS ...of JOB CREATION! Remember that day... January 3rd, 2007 was the day that Barney Frank took over the House Financial Services Committee and Chris Dodd took over the Senate Banking Committee. The economic meltdown that happened 15 months later was in what part of the economy? BANKING AND FINANCIAL SERVICES! THANK YOU DEMOCRATS (especially Barney ) for taking us from 13,000 DOW, 3.5 GDP and 4.6% Unemployment...to this CRISIS by (among MANY other things) dumping 5-6 TRILLION Dollars of toxic loans on the economy from YOUR Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac FIASCOES! (BTW: Bush asked Congress 17 TIMES to stop Fannie & Freddie -starting in 2001 because it was financially risky for the US economy). Barney blocked it and called it a "Chicken Little Philosophy" (and the sky did fall!) And who took the THIRD highest pay-off from Fannie Mae AND Freddie Mac? OBAMA And who fought against reform of Fannie and Freddie? OBAMA and the Democrat Congress, especially BARNEY!!!! So, when someone tries to blame Bush... REMEMBER JANUARY 3rd, 2007.... THE DAY THE DEMOCRATS TOOK OVER!"

Quick look at whitehouse race.

The election later this year will, no doubt, be the most important one in our respective lifetimes!.   We will decide what course this  ship called the United States  will set sail.   You have three choices.
  1. sail toward a European style socialist state by re-electing the President.
  2. sail toward a  constitutional based conservative & capitalistic state.
  3. drop anchor and stay status quo.

There you have it.   Whatever you decide, just put some honest thought in to it and  DO SOMETHING!  My best advice is to not get hung up on  one or two causes and make them deal breakers for any particular candidate.  Look at the whole person and pick whichever one you think (not feel) will captain this ship the way you want.
I will be posting mini-blogs about the various candidates. Please take a peek and I encourage your dialogue.       Anchor's AWAY!!!

OBAMA's STRATEGY FOR WINNING

" Smart like a Fox" is how I'd describe the re-election strategy of  President Obama.  His latest move is to copy the Truman strategy of running against a "do nothing" congress.  Truman deployed this strategy and it got him elected in 1948.  He insisted the congress pass legislation that  he knew they would not do.   sound familiar?   it's exactly what Obama is doing.  This could enable him to run on congress's  non-record vs. his own record, increasing his chances for re-election.   Will it work?   strong possibility but that's up to  YOU!

TRUTH ABOUT the TEA PARTY

Some just don't know and others purposely disparage the TEA PARTY for political gain.  So let's take a simple look.  First, it is  NOT a political party.  It is a movement that consists of like-minded folks.    the TEA is an acronym standing for Taxed Enough  Already.  a smaller, less obtrusive government  that runs on Constitutional guidelines is the goal.  There are no official stances on hot  social topics like abortion or gay marriage.   a fiscal agenda is the reason for it's existence.  Now, there are individuals within the movement that have personal stances on these and other social issues.   Racism?     sure, there are some individuals that wear this label, just as they exist in all groups, However, the movement  in and of it's self is  NOT racist.  Any open-minded and clear thinking person will see this as fact.  I hope this short blog helps you.  I will be glad to answer any questions you may have.

OBAMA's JOBs SPEECH

This blog will focus on the president's  speech and subsequent peaches on his current "tour".  Since there is no physical Jobs bill released yet, I can only write about what he has said.
The first thing that struck me in his speech to congress was that he said "Pass this bill Now!"     17 times.     SEVENTEEN  times!  The last time he addressed the nation and pushed a bill this hard, We ended up with a health care bill  rammed down our throats with very little openness.   This will be more difficult because his party no longer controls both houses of congress. which of course sets up the inevitable Democrat spin that the  GOP (house)  are obstructing and keeping people from working.  Funny how whichever party doesn't get their way, the other  party must be obstructionists just because they disagree.   The real bottom line here is to  ignore the campaigning and rhetoric to see the actual detailed Jobs Bill.  Then we can look at it closely and see what's what.  Stay tuned for my assessment at that time.

President Obama

OK, I've been asked by several folks to give my view of the President.  Well here it is.  I  don't know him personally so I can't say I dislike  HIM as a person, but I will say that it is my belief that he ranks  at or near the bottom of all presidents in leadership.  It's my opinion that he's still   "voting present" much as he did as an Illinois state legislator and U.S. Senator.    His lack of  willingness to commit to a position  is one example of his lack of leadership  & experience.

Now I'll tackle  the crazy talk.        I doubt seriously that he is either a Muslim or born in Kenya.  Those are non issues to me.   The biggest threat he presents is his strong belief in a bigger, more controlling federal government.  That other stuff is just a distraction.   one of two things needs to happen, either he is voted out of office or some common sense Republicans are elected to control the senate.   This way, there will be no more ramming of big government policies down the folks' throats.     just my opinion, what's tour's ?
